A little-known fort ruin near the Dharavi-Mahim area, believed to date from the era when Bombay's seven islands were still separated by tidal creeks and guarded by a chain of small coastal forts. Very little of the original structure survives, and even its precise history is thinly documented compared to Mumbai's better-known forts. It remains a low-profile site visited mainly by heritage enthusiasts tracing the city's original island fortifications. There is no ticketed entry or formal visitor infrastructure.

Did you know? Riwa Fort, one of Mumbai's lesser-known forts, guarded the historic Mahim Bay coastline and is believed to take its name from the erstwhile princely state of Rewa, whose troops were once stationed here under British arrangement.
