About

A small transport heritage museum in Dadar run by Mumbai's BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) undertaking, tracing the evolution of the city's bus and tram network since the early 20th century. Exhibits include vintage double-decker buses, old tram memorabilia and photographs documenting how public transport shaped Mumbai's growth. BEST began as an electricity and tramway company in 1873 before becoming the city's dominant bus operator. The museum offers a niche but genuine look at Mumbai's civic transport history.

Did you know? The BEST Transport Museum showcases Mumbai's iconic double-decker buses, a fixture of the city since 1937 — Mumbai remains one of the last cities in Asia to still operate them in active public service.
