A small Hemadpanti-style stone temple dedicated to Shiva, built in black basalt during the Yadava dynasty period between the 10th and 13th centuries, located near Saswad roughly 45km from Pune. Its intricately carved pillars and shikhara reflect the distinctive Hemadpanti architectural style associated with medieval Deccan temple building. The Peshwa rulers of the 18th century later patronised and maintained the temple as part of the wider Saswad heritage precinct associated with their family history. It remains an active, lesser-visited temple reached by a short climb, with no formal ticketing infrastructure.
