The excavated remains of a huge 80-pillared assembly hall from the Mauryan Empire, part of ancient Pataliputra, giving Patna a direct physical link to Emperor Ashoka's capital over two thousand years ago.

Did you know? The pillared hall unearthed at Kumhrar is believed to have been the Mauryan imperial assembly hall, meaning Patna's modern outskirts sit directly on top of one of the political nerve centres of Ashoka's empire.
