About
A Shiva temple built in 1694 by Ahom king Gadadhar Singha on Peacock Island, a tiny river island in the middle of the Brahmaputra, reachable only by ferry.
Did you know? Umananda sits on Peacock Island, often cited as one of the smallest inhabited river islands in the world, making the ferry ride across the Brahmaputra as much a part of the visit as the temple itself.
