A grand pink sandstone and white marble temple complex built by the BAPS Swaminarayan movement, combining a central shrine with gardens, exhibitions and a large stepped water feature.

Did you know? This was the original Akshardham, built years before its far larger and more famous sibling opened in Delhi in 2005, making Gandhinagar the site where the entire Akshardham temple concept began.
