About

A grand Greco-Roman colonial mansion built in 1906 to house India's premier forestry research institution, founded after Indian independence and now a museum alongside active research.

Did you know? The FRI's museum displays India's rarest wood samples from extinct and endangered tree species, creating a "wooden record" of India's lost forests that conservation scientists still study today.
