A saree combining a lightweight cotton body with a pure silk, richly worked zari border and pallu, woven as two separate pieces on different looms and then interlocked into one seamless saree.
Did you know? A Gadwal saree is actually woven in two separate stages on two different looms, the cotton body and the silk zari border are made independently, then locked together thread by thread using a technique called "kupadam."
