An eclectic palace mixing Indo-Islamic and European architectural styles, built as a wedding gift for Sikandar Jehan Begum, one of Bhopal's four successive female rulers.
Did you know? Shaukat Mahal's design is a genuine architectural mashup — its triangular arches and ornamentation borrow directly from European Gothic style, reportedly at the request of a French architect who worked on the building.
